Commuters in Melbourne are being warned their trip home from work will be wet, cold and windy across the city while the rest of the state cops a drenching.
Steady rain from a system travelling east across Victoria fell on the CBD after 7.30am. It briefly subsided but more expected just in time for peak hour traffic from 4pm.
It’s expected more than half a month worth of rain will fall over the course of today impacting the entire state, but the north is being worst hit.
